The Texas High School Indoor Championship 2026 is one of the premier early-season competitions for high school athletes across Texas. Hosted at the R.A. Murray Fasken Indoor Track in College Station, this meet provides a high-quality indoor environment for athletes to test their preseason form, chase early PRs, and gain valuable competitive experience before the official outdoor season.

Athletes will compete under standard high-school rules across all running, jumping, and throwing events. The meet welcomes high-school athletes of all levels and offers a professionally organized schedule, certified officials, and fully automated timing.

This event is an excellent opportunity for KEY Athletics athletes to evaluate their progress, build confidence, and prepare for championship-level competitions later in the year.


Registration Instructions

All KEY Athletics athletes will register for this meet through KEY Athletics, and we will submit all entries on MileSplit on your behalf. Please read the instructions below carefully.

Events Schedule

Top 16 pole vaulters will be seeded into the Invite Group on Friday. All remaining athletes will compete in the Unseeded Group.

1. Who Can Enter

 This meet is strictly for high school athletes (grades 9–12) as required by the organizers. Valid ID may be checked at packet pickup.

2. How to Register Through KEY Athletics

  1. Choose your event(s) during KEY Athletics online registration.
  2. Pay the entry fee for each selected event.
  3. KEY Athletics will submit your official MileSplit entry using verified marks only (non-verified marks will be entered as NM/NT).

All Athletes must be added into KEY Athletics Rooster on MileSplit website.

3. Entry Fees

  • $25 per athlete per event (standard entry).
  • Late entry (if needed): $50 per athlete per event.
  • Coach/guardian wristband fee may be required by the meet (see below).
  • Website prices may appear slightly higher due to online payment processing fees.

Avoiding Processing Fees (Optional)

If you prefer to pay the original meet fee, you may:

  • Start the registration online
  • Do NOT complete the online payment
  • Contact Us
  • Pay the original entry amount via Zelle

Your registration will be finalized after your Zelle payment is received.

4. Coaching Fee for Multiple Events

​​If an athlete registers for more than one event, KEY Athletics may charge an additional coaching fee for each additional event.

5. Wristbands Required by Meet Organizers

All athletes must be accompanied by a coach or guardian with a wristband:

  • Coach wristband: $25 online / $40 at meet
  • Guardian wristband: $15 (spectator only; no warm-up area access)

6. Payment Policy (Organizer Requirement)

  • Entries are NOT accepted until payment is completed.
  • No payments accepted on site.
  • No refunds under any circumstances.

8. Event Rules & Requirements

Athletes must follow all meet rules, including:

  • ¼” Pyramid spikes only (NO needle or Christmas tree spikes). See diagram on last page of PDF. 
  • No warm-ups allowed on the competition track. Warm-ups only in designated areas.
  • Pole vault athletes must complete UIL Pole Vault Certification Form and use properly rated poles.

9. Packet Pick-Up

All athletes must pick up their meet packet before competing. Packet pick-up is located at the Coolidge Indoor Football Facility.

Please bring your MileSplit registration receipt.

Packet pick-up schedule:

  • Thursday, January 8 — 4:00–6:00 PM
  • Friday, January 9 — 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
  • Saturday, January 10 — 8:00 AM–12:00 PM
